Lucille Ball would've been 100 today
One of the true greats. And a real looker, too. As a kid, I drove by her house in Beverly Hills with the family while on vacation. A white colonial, on a corner, manicured lawn and gardens...and totally approachable by The Common Man. No gates, long drive or impenetrable brick wall. I found this to be remarkable. ANYONE could just walk up and ring the bell...of LUCILLE BALL! And they DID...as my family and I watched. Ms. Ball didn't answer. Shocking. It's a wonderful memory. Happy 100th, wherever you are, Lucille. And thanks for all the laughter; it's needed more than ever these days.
